Who Invented The LCD TV..?

Ever wondered who invented the LCD TV ..?

Just maybe, you might be a little bit curious who invented one of the most popular ways to watch Television, play video games, and to view content from our notebooks/computers..??

Well the answer doesn’t seem to be very clear at all,
some claim that the Liquid crystal display pioneer George H. Heilmeier (born in 1936 in Philadelphia).

He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and then moved on to Princeton where he earned M.A., M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees in solid-state electronics. Soon after graduation he joined RCA Laboratories, where his work on various electronic and electro-optic devices lead to his promotion to Head of Solid State Device Research in 1966. was the inventor of the LCD TV.

While others suggest Sharp Electronics should be given the credit, others even say Casio came out with the first LCD (liquid crystal display) for their calculators, and some say The active matrix LCD was invented by Westinghouse.
Basically the honor of bringing LCD technology to light should go to all them as a whole.

My question still is:
“Whom actually Invented, designed and came up with the first LCD TV, then marketed it..?“

I’m sure over time many inventors can take some credit for inventing the first LCD screen, then someone used that invention and placed a TV tuner inside to create a TV. But i would like one correct answer, who invented the first LCD TV and then marketed the product.

There seems to be a lot of history out there about early inventors like, who invented the Telephone ? ( Alexander Graham Bell) Whom Invented the first TV ? (John Logie Baird, Philo Taylor Farnsworth, Vladimir Zworykin etc) and so on.
Modern inventions that we all take for granted but use everyday and have it enhance our lives, i believe those Inventors should also be up there with any of those other famous inventors we were taught about in school.

(At the end of the day, it seems like so many inventions. The idea usually starts with one person, and then progresses from there over time by others, to eventually come to what we see before ourselves today, that is, a great way to watch TV, play video games, or use to view content from our notebooks and or computers.)

For me making use of a LCD display which employs an IPS panel is crucial. I do a great number of image editing and graphics design, as a result creating precise colours is vital. Not to mention the viewing angles of IPS panels are far better. My friend owns a TN display and you can’t even movie your head without the colors changing. Hopefully OLED monitors will come before long. These even make IPS displays seem inferior.
